All finished the 35 mile route at 13.08 on Sunday, looking in good shape. So, very well done Katie, Max, Oscar, Sam, Ciera and Peter.

The Expedition Weekend

Friday 13th May and leaving school at 6.00am. Putting up tents, kit checks, registering, listening to briefings, packing, unpacking, doing it again, planning the route. A busy day and then an early night, hopefully.
Saturday will start at 5.00am and then the start at 7.00am. 35 miles and then back before 5.00pm on Sunday. Watch the Ten Tors website for developments. I can make no entries on this blog until Sunday night but shall update on Twitter until then.

Three weeks to go

We have just come back from the fourth weekend on Dartmoor. A successful practice outing. Most things went well and we are feeling confident for the Expedition weekend in three weeks time. Very hot and dry, though. Can it ever have been drier? There does not appear to be a change ahead for the next few days at least. Very concerning to see that there is a serious grass fire now burning near Fernworthy.
